Yoga Month Photography

I have a large body of work that involves photography for yoga studios and instructors, so I was happy to receive a call from Darryl Olive of KC Fitness Link asking me to photograph for Kansas City Yoga Month. Yoga Month is a month of free yoga related activities to promote health and well being through yoga and fitness. There are many studios participating in the KC area and KC Fitness Link hosted a Spin/Yoga Class on Sunday. The participants met at the Nelson-Atkins Museum and took a long bike ride around the Plaza and Midtown areas.

They concluded the ride at the KC Fitness Link yoga studio where they engaged in a yoga class especially for bikers.

Photo Booth Madness at The Darling Room

I was on hand for The Darling Room's First Friday extravaganza on September 5 and boy did we have fun. The Darling Room is a super chic and fun downtown salon and they were offering mini makeup sessions as their First Friday activity. For those of you not familiar with First Friday, this is a monthly event where galleries, stores and other establishments in the Crossroads Art District throw open their doors from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm to showcase their wares. The Darling Room asked me to create a photo booth to take pictures of visitors after their mini makeup session. We had couples, kids, dogs and guys in hats....all hamming it up for the camera in my photo booth. Check out some of the photos:

First Fridays in the Crossroads Art District!

On Friday, September 5, join me at the Darling Room in the Crossroads Art District for a creative First Friday experience. The Darling Room is a cool downtown salon and they will be offering mini-make-up touch-ups. I will be taking photos of everyone who jumps in my "photo booth" after the mini-make-up session.

Saturday at the Beanstalk Garden

Saturday was a bright, sunny day at the Beanstalk Garden where I had my monthly outdoor photo session. These 30 minute sessions are a great way to get to know Christina Lundeen Photography as they only cost $100 which includes one 8"x10" photo and two 5"x7" photos. The August session was held in the Beanstalk Gardens in Swope Park.

Here are some photos one family who joined me at the gardens on Saturday: the Sher Family. They were a delightful family and little Cameron was also celebrating with some 6 month photos. Lexi loved playing in the fountain in the garden and was also thrilled to feed the fish in the pond. Thanks to the Beanstalk Garden for being so accomodating!
