It's time for another fun head shot feature from Christina Lundeen Photography!  Kate and I took a trip down to the Crossroads to get head shots ready for her job search.  Kate is graduating with her MA in Communication in May. With experience in TV production, copy writing, media editing, and marketing, she is looking for a position in news - whether broadcast or print. On the personal side, Kate loves to cook, and tries to grow her own ingredients (although she says the tomatoes never seem to work out).  I've been on the receiving end of her fabulous home cooking and maybe she could pick up a side job as a chef?!?

Christina Lundeen Photography has been SO BUSY with professional headshots lately.  I love doing these portraits and I always encourage my clients to personalize their headshots so their career and professional vision are reflected in each photo.  Since there is such a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and business owners here in Kansas City, I'm going to start featuring my headshot clients here on the blog and via social media so you can get to know the people behind the businesses.

We'll start with Kristen Thomas from Glowing Massage Therapy (glowingmassagetherapy.com).  I have the fun job of photographing Kristen's son each year for his birthday so I knew working with Kristen would be fun!  We met up at the fabulous new space in Overland Park,

As you can see from Kristen's smile, she is just lovely to work with.  The mission of her business is assisting women in every stage and every phase of life with massage therapy and yoga therapy.  She provides tailored needs massage,  fertility massage,  prenatal massage,  postnatal massage,  abdominal massage, and biomat detoxification. 

 

As a mama of a one year old and two year old, I will certainly be putting Kristen's skills to good use this year.  I'm thinking a massage would make a perfect Mother's Day present (hint hint husband of mine!)

• Can other family members be included in each photo shoot?  YES!  Many families love to incorporate siblings, mom and dad in the photo shoots.
• Can I purchase photos along the way or do I have to wait until the end of the first year?  YES!  You can purchase photos after each session.
• Do you have props for newborn sessions?  YES!  I have more hats, headbands and fabric wraps than you can imagine.  I'm addicted to newborn props on Etsy.
• Where do we do the photo shoots?  Newborn sessions are conducted in studio and I also recommend the 3 month session in studio.  If your baby is 6 months or older when the weather is mild, I love to shoot these sessions outdoors. 
• When do you like to photograph newborns?  Within the first 10 days of life and we pencil in your newborn session prior to birth to ensure availability.  We then refine the actual photo shoot date and time based on your delivery.

Amelia Turns One - Kansas City Baby Photographer

Christina Lundeen Photography loves fun in the fall leaves around Brookside.  I may be partial to my own neighborhood, but the trees have been spectacular this year!  We photographed some of this session along the golden glow of the Trolley Trail and captured Miss Amelia's one year milestone at her home as well.  I love Lauren's decorating style so the front steps with mums, pumpkins and fall leaves looked perfectly styled for their photos.  Looking forward to ages 2, 3, 4 and beyond with this little one!

Justin + Abbey - Kansas City Wedding Photographer

It was a stunning night at The Gallery for Justin and Abbey!  With a wealth of gorgeous spots downtown, we followed the couple on a quick photo safari indoors and out prior to the wedding.  Their ceremony was elegant, simple and full of love and a lively cocktail reception at Kill Devil Club followed their vows.  Vintage tea sets and white floral arrangements made up the adorable centerpieces and the wedding guests got to boogie to live music after the dinner.  As night fell, we stole the bride and groom away for a few parting shots outdoors as the lights of downtown Kansas City twinkled.  It was a lovely day and Christina Lundeen Photography was so happy to be there for Justin and Abbey.  I photographed the wedding with my genius partner in crime, Andrea Melendez, which made the day even more fun.  Thanks again for having us as part of your big day!
