Yoga Mama

It's been a month filled with lots of mamas-to-be and Lindsay kicked it off with her yoga themed shoot. She teaches at my favorite yoga studio, Darling Yoga, and I'm totally digging the reverse warrior photo. Stay tuned for the newborn photos soon :)

Three Boys at the Nelson

The handsome and energetic trio of Dylan, Jack and Cooper kept me on my toes at the Nelson in July. It was right before the really hot weather hit but I was still sweating like a crazy person after running around with these three cutie boys. I loved chasing after Cooper and his blond ringlets, yelling "Coooooooop" and watching his big brothers make him giggle.

Senior Guys: Chris

Chris and I started our session at some soccer fields in Overland Park where we got some fun photos and I got to play with a new lighting style. We then headed down the to West Bottoms where we continued our photo extravaganza. I think the blue door looks amazing with his eyes!

Senior Girls: Katie

I'm in full swing with 2012 high school seniors! Katie, her parents and I bummed around Westport and the Plaza for lots of great city scenes. Katie is a fellow photographer so we even got to incorporate her camera into some of the shots. I love the red printed dress with pop of blue from the belt...a great example of how prints can add visual interest to your portrait!

Hello Neighbor

It's so nice to work with new clients that live in my neighborhood. Having lived in Kansas City for just three years now, I'm still meeting lots of folks in the Brookside/Waldo area and enjoy getting to know folks that live in my hood. You never know when you might need to borrow a cup of sugar from a neighbor. You know, for all those pies I don't bake. Tammy and her family live just a few blocks away plus Tammy grew up in the area so we chose Swope Park for her photo shoot location. It's her old stomping grounds so she was right at home!

Hot Time In the City

We braved the heat of late July and did some fabulous portraits for this family of nine. I just finished a 20x30 canvas that I can't wait to deliver!
